Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for improving technology, our lifestyle is not a concept. We have been using it over the years and its usage has grown potentially over the years. Scientists and researchers have been warning us over the years that AI is taking over the world slowly. There is no doubt about the fact that AI has enhanced our lives but according to the statement given by the Founder and CEO of InCloudCounsel -AI can only take over where work can be automated not all could be done with it.
Machines can only automate tasks or some certain behaviour, they don’t have the critical thinking ability like humans or cognitive behavior present in them for executing some work where you need to think critically. Artificial Intelligence will always fall short when we need to take decisions based on human traits such as perception or emotional intelligence.
AI has taken its own place in mostly all spheres like business, and medicine. But it cannot take place of humans. For example, Surgery would be done better by a professional surgeon who has years of experience and practised fine motor skills and has the ability to perceive and understand each individual case accordingly to understanding the demand of the situation.
Similarly, in business AI can take over most of the tasks but not HR, as AI cannot copy the level of emotional or social intelligence needed to build and maintain healthy relationships with employees.
The best approach for using AI and for controlling is to put a human–in –the loop with it. This approach says to combine human intelligence and AI in an integrated workplace where they can achieve their maximum potential which cannot be achieved single-handedly on its own. If we include the judgment of humans and preference in this so-called loop, AI will achieve many efficient results that it can achieve on full automation.
Artificial Intelligence as machines was made to enhance technology not replace humans. Its main purpose was to be complementary with humans to achieve more.
We as of now, are at a strategic inflexion point that will help in determining the shape or presence of AI in the future. We can either use it now to enhance and automate our tasks as much as we can to be much more advanced than other countries but dependent on AI or we can stop advancing AI in the workplace till the time we understand how we can take full control of it otherwise it can be a disaster if superintelligence were to take over the world.
